DIMMABLE

• Dims to approximately 10% brightness (not quite as dim as a halogen)
• When dimming colour stays the same (does not get red like a halogen)
• You may need a new low load dimmer switch (most have a minimum wattage)

DIMMER SWITCHES

If you have an existing dimmer switch designed for halogens, there is a high chance that you will have to replace it. This is because most of them are designed for high loads, e.g. 60W-400W. This is particularly true if there are only 4-6 bulbs on the circuit. If you have 12+ bulbs (5W x 12 = 60W) there's more chance your existing dimmer will work.
